voltage optimisation

vo

Voltage Optimisatiopn is the method of controlling supply voltage to a site. Without Voltage Optimisation, a site in the UK is likely consuming unnecessary electricity, adding an avoidable cost and carbon burden.

The UK suffers from overvoltage – with mains voltage averaging at 242V. The installation of a Voltage Optimisation unit in series with the mains supply delivers supply voltages towards the lower end of the Statutory Supply (typically 220V). This results in lower energy consumption, energy cost savings and equipment running more efficiently, increasing its lifespan and reducing maintenance3. Savings can theoretically be as high as 25%, although most commercial applications can reasonably expect to realise a reduction anywhere between 4 – 15%.

This type of equipment alone regularly delivers a Return On Investment between 24 and 36 months.
